9.3. Release AssignmentIn AgileTrack, product releases can be planned and tracked. Since all planning is done through iterations, there is the option of assigning iterations to releases. Releases are described in more detail in another chapter, but it is important to know that multiple iterations can be tied to a single release, and by assigning a task to an iteration, it is effectively a part to the iteration's release as well. To assign an iteration to a release, simply use the "Release" combo box provided in the iteration view. The combo box will contain a list of all releases which have not yet been given a "Released" date. So, essentially an iteration can only be assigned to a release which is has not yet been released. Release assignment is completely optional. And iterations will work the same whether or not they are assigned to a release. |
